Comedy of Errors (9th May)
Missed our train smile. A long story. tbc…
Went to Vijaywada by bus, and by train from Vijaywada to Vizag.

Vizag has lots of scenic beauty. A rare place where you can find both sea and hills together. And a hot climate with lots of humidity. You just cant stop sweating. winking. Cant help it. “Welcome to the pressure cooker called Vizag” is how Jayaram welcomed us.

Day 1 (10th May)
Reached Vizag at 12:30. A aptdc hotel was booked for us. Just 50 meters from shore. The view from the 3rd floor of the hotel made me crazy. I was completely lost. Reached Jaya’s home for lunch. It was full of guests.
Rushikonda Beach beach. Tasted the salty water of sea after 8 years, when i was at goa. Couldnt resist jumping into it, and going deeper and fighting the strong waves high above our heads pushing us upto 4 steps back. Didnt realize when I lost my specs in the fun and struggle with the waves.

Day 2 (11th May)
Jaya’s Thread ceremony. Jaya without hairs, and 5 funny spots left.
BC at hotel with Jaya and Aaradhya.

Day 3 (12th May)
Kailasa Giri A small ropeway journey. A nice place. Gives a beautiful view of sea and city.
Submarine Museum A real submarine for display. A really complex machine, and very compact.

Day 4 (13th May)
Araku “Rail ‘n’ Road” tour
Journey through beautiful vallies.
Tribal Dance. Museum of tribal life.
Borra Caves Awesome. I never before saw such a big cave. And the resembelance of the shapes naturally formed with gods and animals etc was amazing.
Moved to Jaya’s home from hotel, as the house was now free from guests.

Day 5 (14th May)
Lunch at Unni’s home
Ship and Submarine trip Uncle(Jaya’s Dad) showed us a navy Ship (name in comment) and Submarine (name in comment). Beautiful machines. The submarine was similar to the one at museum except that the doors were real and much smaller like a round hole. In Uncle’s words “Space is a luxary here”. So is water and air.
Dolphins Hills One of the most beautiful place. Gives complete view of city and the dockyard. Can see all navy and merchant navy ships moving. More important an exculsive place with restricted entry. Lucky officers who live there.

Day 6 (15th May)
Relax. Watched movie Murder by Numbers. Cant write the review as didnt understand the movie. Some complex story around a murder.
Fought her at phone. 7pm. Will blog it.
Returned by bus at 9pm.

Andhra food
All along had only typical andhra food at Jaya’s and Unni’s home. From my experiance at hostel, I use to think that this food cant be cooked better. But believe me I couldnt stop overeating. It was so tasty. And had an experiance eating in Andhra style. Curry , Sambhar, Rasam, Crud in the same order. A plate of leafs adds more taste to it.
